Okay, concurrent with the release of Motion 3, Peachpit is publishing 2 new Apple Pro Training Series books: Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio, and Motion 3. I am the primary author on the first and a contributing author on the second.

Which book should you buy? If you are primarily and editor looking to expand your motion graphics skills (with a STRONG EMPHASIS ON MOTION), get the first - Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio. If you are primarily a graphics designer looking to get in-depth with Motion, get the Motion 3 book.

All the other books on this page still have accurate content, but they don't cover any features of Motion 3. If you are still using Motion 1 or 2, check them out.

TWO BOOKS on MOTION 3

Note: the first book (Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio) is primarily about Motion: 1 chapter on creating graphics and effects in Final Cut Pro, 1 on LiveType, and the rest on Motion (including integration of Motion and Final Cut Pro).
