Back on MacBreak Studio, I show Steve Martin how to combine masks using Motion 4. Works in Motion 5 as well. See it on iTunes here or on the web here.

Hi Mark,

That is a really cool effect. I have always struggled understanding how to correctly use masks, so very helpful... By the way, may I quickly add, I have a number of your ripple training tutorials and have learnt so much from them - They are first class. The more I play with motion, the more I see why you love it so much.

Thanks for sharing your expertise.

No problems...

If you are thinking of some more tutorial ideas - it would be great to have an indepth one on particles and replicators like the motion 3 Deep Dive...just a thought.

Would love to see some tricks with Motion 5, specifically round-tripping with FCPX if that's even possible.

Thanks for this post though. Cool stuff as always.
