MacBreak: Studio Live

In the first edition of MacBreak: Studio Live, Alex Lindsay hosts Steve Martin and myself in a roundtable (literally, a round table) discussion of Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5. It's over 2 hours long and it takes a few minutes for us to get settled (Steve had literally just walked into the studio when we went live) but we are getting some good feedback about the show. See for yourself by clicking the image above or click here.

Great Job laying out the true pro's and con's of FCPX. I enjoyed hearing your opinions and observations on the removal and lack of some features, balanced with some good workarounds to use in the interm, while Apple develops this software further. I am really happy that you guys got out front of this and injected some sanity into the discussion of this release. I am also looking forward to the upcoming Mac Break Studio episodes focusing on FCPX. Keep up the good work! Let me know about the August training you where discussing as I would like to attend.

Mark, a truly enjoyable show, thank you. I am looking forward to testing Motion 5 (French version released later this summer) and see how it performs in 64bit - current project requires a lot of light effects and pushes the 5870 card to the limit - but for the time being, I feel I'll continue the editing job on FCP7.

Thanks, Jean-Marc. Don't get too excited about improved performance - please see:
