Returning to MacBreak Studio, the charming Brian Gary and I discuss creating a fun text animation style in Motion. See it on iTunes here or on the web here.

I really appreciate your tutorials. I am surprised how little is available online for Apple Motion 4 as it seems it is a strong rival to After Effects.

I have Apple Motion 4 and am tempted to buy After Effects just for the sheer volume available online.

I am new to motion graphics but proficient in Adobe Illustrator. I would like to learn how to create a "from scratch" animation very similar to this video: http://vimeo.com/4179118
in Apple Motion 4.

I would intend to create the text, icons and all artwork in Illustrator, and animate in motion. Do you have a tutorial (that you have created, or recommend) that demonstrates a workflow for creating animation of this type, using vector artwork?

Thank you in advance.

I believe I answered your question in one of the forums - nothing that addresses that specifically but you could certainly use Motion to make something like that.
